Why does funnyjunk hate reddit

Depending on which pages, is it called? That you look at. I saw this pic on tumblr and this, my friends, is how I discovered FJ. If you like the right pages, facebook has all the good content from Reddit and FJ, and not much bull All the people on facebook get everything from 9gag Tumblr is for hipsters and girls mostly.

A lot of pictures that people take end up on there. I've seen them posted here too. I think facebook is in even more bad state than 9gag. People there think you troll someone by putting a trollface somewhere.

For example, a group photo. First 2. Per page: 10 10 20 40 60 80 That's okay, 2 out of 3 are containment, but me do they flip. Not to mention how gullible it seems. If it is an outrage to them, it's not a joke, they'll just get offended. But then again I really don't use reddit that much. Just for specific hobby subjects. But you wont get banned for having those opinions on those boards. You might get banned for having a "wrong" opinion on reddit. That's very much true, and I prefer 4chan boards.

But I do think it has the most sensitive people of the two. Don't forget that they also love going through someone's post history to discredit whatever they're saying. I will play their own card against them and call cultural appropriation if I have to in order to keep "y'all" from being theirs. I'll even go straight to reddit and drop a "y'all'd've" bomb on them.

Just like I tell my best friend, Florida ain't the south, it's just an awkward neighbor. I'm kidding of course, I welcome anyone who unironically uses "y'all". Dark Souls is good.

That's like saying sugar isn't sweet. You can choose not to like it, but you can't say it's bad, or criticize it for a design choice that functions well that just isn't to your taste; that's like buying a racing game and complaining that it's too quick.

Go find a specialty forum for your topic, or get friends to discuss these choice topics with. You don't go South for the Summer. I disagree. I have had a lot of intellectual debates with people on this site when we have different stances on an issue. I usually get engaged in at least one per week. For example, the last couple of days, I've been debating a few users about Islam on this thread: You need to login to view this link , something you couldn't do on reddit where your opinon will be discarded.

Anime has a lot of people on either side and I have seen people attempt to bash Trump although, I think he's great. Darksouls people do get pretty pissy whenever anyone disses it, but half of it is just "git gud" jokes. I love the FJ community and how it is able to foster discussion. That's why I use this site over all others. For the most part I agree. FJ doesn't have that either, and to an extent we too suffer from excessive dogpiling.

Tumblr is excusable since it's a blog site, and blogs are made to be more private since it revolves around individuals with shared interests, rather than a community hub like a subreddit. With FunnyJunk, I agree with you for the most part: we aren't better with handling issues.

In a number of aspects, they're 'better' than us when it comes down to it notice I never mentioned FJ specifically nor speculated if we were actually good at hosting productive talks.

We aren't. On the other hand I have to defend FunnyJunk to some degree since it was never meant to be a platform for serious debate: we're FunnyJunk, we are, in practice, supposed to post funny and junk.

We don't have organized communities beyond what every other site has. Reddit, however, is rather unique in comparison.

For one thing, Reddit is generally every proud of its reputation as the 'smart' place to be. They laugh at the rest of us unironically, genuinely think they stand among the voices of logic and reason, whereas FJers know we ain't With every user subbed to these places at some point, they corral millions of people to participate in discussion. In practice, this would actually be a great place for thoughtful exchange, but the mods and s have soiled it. They promote isolation and hivemind activity because they rarely give others a chance to speak out.

Users have a chance to be deleted for repeat 'offenses' as minor as saying something rude, god forbid. In summary, FJ and Reddit are very different situations. We aren't good at it, but we are better than we should be by rights.

I think it's understandable that established opinion dominates over less popular ones, but Reddit should hold itself to higher standards in my opinion. They are more significant to the world at large than FJ will likely ever be, and they should capitalize on it.

I'm really hoping this is coherent because I'm tired af. Also, nobody even posts Seinfeld related content, so I'd say nobody cares anymore.
